Boy, Steve, you’re naive. I don’t think they are talking about what the employees sprinkle on them. It’s about how they are made. They come already flavored, already coated and saturated with fats, hence, animal products. That’s how frozen foods are prepared. Actually if they didn’t use all those animal by-products and chemicals on them they wouldn’t taste that good or be quite as addicting. After they pollute the cut potatoes, then they flash freeze them and shipped to your neighborhood junk food dispenser.
Great website. How I don’t think people addicted to fast food are smart enough to know how to read….

“Percentage of population that says they eat fast food at least once a week”
The assumption when reading the factoid is that they are eating McDonalds or some other “American-esque” fast food. The fast food in Asian countres is much more varied and does not have the “unhealthy” association. Some stuff is bad for you sure, but you can just as easily or find it EASIER get a well balanced and proportioned “fast food” meal as well.

Steve is right, “natural beef flavours” are used on mcdonalds fries but they’re made of just vegetable (not vegan though) ingredients. From mcdonalds: natural beef flavor (wheat and milk derivatives)* Years ago they used animal fat on fries, but decided to change the recipe to please vegetarians.
Seems like a bunch of accurate facts construed to build FUD.

Last time I checked, McDonalds is continuing to use animal fat in their fries. Wendy’s fries are one of the only fast food joints that do not use animal fat. Fat=flavor

…and there are still billions of idiots eating THE most unhealthy food on the planet.

Not only is Steve naive, but too many of you are way too gullible. You really believe what is on a label? Or what a company tells you so they can make more money? Or do you assume someone in government is actually watching over us and there are really standards to protect us? Not likely. The word “natural” should be interpreted as a warning. In fact MSG, that toxic flavor enhancer used in most meat products (among other things), goes by “natural flavors” on labels. And “flavor” could really mean anything that tastes regardless of what it tastes like or made from. “Natural beef flavor” should be interpreted as a domestic terrorist threat….

Oh! I forgot the word “beef”! What could that mean on a label? Hooves? Intestines? Hide particles flash frozen and mushed up into tasty bits? HAHAHAHA Have a nice dinner!

chris: you may be right if in fact they really use animal products but I think natural beef flavors is probably the name of the chemical they use to make it taste like beef

“McDonalds fries are flavoured with unspecified ‘animal products’”.
This isn’t true. I was a manager at McDonalds, and the only thing we had to flavour the fries was salt. Plus, the fries themselves are made by McCain.

Advertising campaign initiated by Jack in the box.
Part 1 established that we’ve been in business for a long time.
Part 2 established that we’re the “cleanest” vendor.
